One night, before bed Little Tracy asked her mother, “Mama, when I grow up, what will I be?”

Her mama replied, “My sweet little Tracy, you can be anything you want.”

​

Tracy said, “Maybe one day I’ll be an astronaut and go to the moon.”

“And I’ll be so proud of you,” her mother replied.

​

“Maybe one day I’ll be a teacher and teach little kids just like me,” Tracy said.  “And I’ll be so proud of you,” her mother replied.

​

“Mama, maybe one day I’ll be an architect.”  “And I’ll be so proud of you,” her mother replied.

​

“Maybe one day I’ll even be President of the Planet Earth!” Tracy said excitedly.

​

Tracy’s mother tucked her into bed and said, “You can be anything and I will always be proud of you.”

一天晚上睡觉前，小特蕾西问她的妈妈：“妈妈，等我长大了，我会变成什么人呢？”

 

妈妈回答说：“我的小特蕾西，你想变成什么人都可以。”

 

小特蕾西说：“也许有一天，我会成为一名宇航员，飞去月球。”

 

“我会为你骄傲。”妈妈回答。

 

“也许有一天，我会成为一名老师，教像我一样的小孩子。”小特雷西说。

 

“我也会为你感到骄傲。”妈妈回答。

 

“妈妈，也许有一天，我会成为一名建筑师。”

 

“我当然会为你感到骄傲。”妈妈回答。

 

“也许有一天，我会成为整个地球的总统！”小特雷西激动地说。

 

妈妈给小特雷西盖好被子，说：“等你长大后，你可以成为任何人，我会永远以你为荣。”
