Long ago in the deepest reaches of a dark forest, lived a greedy tree. Every day, the sun would rise, the tiny trees, the saplings planted around the greedy tree would ask it, “Mister GreedyTree, Mister Greedy Tree could you please share some sunlight with me?”

The tall, huge, greedy tree would look down on the little saplings and he’d say, “Hohoho, maybe tomorrow I'll let you have some sunlight, today it’s all for me.”

​

Until one day, a woodcutter came into the forest and saw the great, big, greedy tree and he said, “I must cut down this tree for it is so large and huge it will make me a lot of money.”

CHOP! CHOP! CHOP!

Down went the greedy tree. The next morning all the saplings had sunlight.

直到有一天，一个伐木工人来到森林里，看到了这棵巨大的树。他说：“这树长得可真大， 我要把它砍下来卖了，一定可以赚很多钱。”

 

砍！砍！砍！

贪婪树就这么倒下了。第二天早上，所有的小树都能享受阳光了。
