Long, long ago long before the first humans, long before the dinosaurs, the planet earth was a dark place filled with lighting storms and thunder. All the old, ancient creatures that live on the planet had no light, expect for short flashes of lightning. They were constantly running into each other and bumping their heads:

                                        Owww!

                                        OOoooo!

                                        Excuse me!

                                        Awww!

                                        Aaahhhh

                                        Whoo haaa!

These ancient creatures did not like constantly running into things. One day they came up with a plan. They sent out Little Bug into the clouds to catch lightning. Little Bug reached the clouds when suddenly she was struck by lightning. Little Bug captured the lightning in her belly.

 

From that day on, Little Bug became the lightning bug and gave light to the dark. No longer were the ancient creatures bumping their heads.

 

很久很久以前，在恐龙出现之前，地球是一个充满雷雨和闪电的黑暗世界。所有生活在这个星球上的古老生物都没有看到过光亮，除了短暂的闪电。黑暗中，他们经常撞在一起，撞得头昏眼花。

这些古老的生物不太喜欢撞上其他的生物。有一天，他们想出了一个计划，他们派小虫子到云里去捕捉闪电。小虫子到了云端，被闪电击中，于是小虫子用它的腹部捕捉到了闪电。

 

从那天起，小虫子就成了闪电虫，照亮了黑暗的地球。远古的生物们再也不会撞到一起了。
