Betty was a very sad dung beetle because she was so smelly she had few friends. But one day, Betty had a brilliant idea: She had heard, through the grapevine, of a beautiful smelling flower called “The Lily of Moonlight” and she was told it could hide any disgusting smells.

 

But, she also heard that to get “The Lily of Moonlight” she would have to find some fairy dust at the very end of the rainbow. The process of acquiring this “Lily of Moonlight” seemed ridiculously difficult to Betty. She thought to herself, “I’m actually happy with the way I am! If people don’t like me for being smelly, that’s their problems.”

 

Once Betty realized that she was fine just as she was, she felt so much happier. The next day she met another dung beetle, named Barry. Barry said to her, “ I hope I’m not being forward, but I have to say you have the most beautiful scent. You smell like a beautiful flower.”

 

They were married within the year. Unfortunately, everyone who attended the wedding had to wear a mask because it was so smelly!

一年以后，他们结婚了。不幸的是，参加婚礼的每个人都必须戴上面具，因为他们太臭了！
