Anthony and his family were going to the park. Yes, the swings would be fun to swing on. And he liked sliding down the slide. But what he wanted most of all was to get a balloon.  

Anthony一家去公园里玩。他们荡秋千，滑滑梯，玩得不亦乐乎。不过呢，Anthony最想要的还是一只气球。

 

When they got to the park he ran to the man with a big mustache who was holding a fist full of strings each attached to a colorful balloon. The balloons were different shapes and sizes. But the one Anthony wanted most of all was shaped like a rocket ship.  Big and silvery, it pulled against the string like it was ready to blast off!  Anthony gave the man 75 cents and said, “the rocket ship, please.”  “Ok, little fella – but hold on tight to the string.” 

 

一到公园， Anthony就跑到卖气球的人身边，这人长着一脸大胡子，拿着一把大大小小，五颜六色的气球。Anthony对那只火箭飞船形状的气球最为中意。火箭飞船气球是银色的，很大，绳子被扯得紧紧的，看起来飞船马上就要飞上天了。Anthony付了75美分：“请给我那只火箭飞船吧。”“好的，小家伙，可要拉紧绳子了，别让气球飞咯。”

 

Anthony ran with the rocket ship balloon bouncing along in the air behind him when he heard his mother call, “Anthony, Anthony, where are you.” And when Anthony raised his hand to wave and shout, “I’m here, Momma” the string slid out of his fingers and that rocket ship balloon took off for the moon.

 

Anthony拉着气球一路飞跑，气球在他身后随风飘上飘下。这时，他听到妈妈在找他：“Anthony，Anthony，你在哪里？” Anthony举起手向妈妈挥手：“我在这儿呢，妈妈！” 气球绳子一下子从 Anthony手里滑出——火箭飞船就起飞了，飞向月球了！
