Long ago the world was empty. There were no trees, there were no animals and there was no water. There was nothing, expect, for one lonely cloud. Every day the cloud would float around in the sky and ask, “Where is everybody? I want to be friend with somebody.”

One day he was so sad water started falling from his eyes. He was crying and his tears became raindrops. The raindrops fell to the earth and started giving life to the world. Over time, the raindrops helped the world grow, trees began to bloom and animals came to life.

Once the cloud stopped crying he looked down on the world and he saw all the new life there was. He saw the new tress, and the oceans, and the animals. He said, “Hurray, I have so many new friends to play with!”

很久以前，世界一片空旷。没有树，没有动物，也没有水。除了一朵孤独的云，一无所有。每天，这朵云漂浮在天空，他问：大家都去哪了呢？我想交朋友。”

 

一天，他难过极了，眼泪从他眼睛里流出来。他哭着，眼泪变成了雨滴。雨滴落到地面上，地球上的生命活起来了。慢慢地，雨水帮助万物生长，树木开始发芽，动物们也开始苏醒。

云不哭了，他往下看时，看到了地面上所有的生物，新生的树，海洋和动物们。他说：“太棒了，现在我有好多朋友可以一起玩了！”
